Monitoring

I need to get some sort of website monitoring software on my linux box. Something that I can see where they have been even after history has been deleted obviously. I have chat monitoring pretty much down just enable logs on pidgin or kopete but I'm worried about facebook chats so I need something for that if possible. Maybeing (a performance decrease for sure here I understand) but screen shots to see what's being done every so many seconds. Any ideas? There must be something out there just hard to get your hands on I assume. Thanks also I kinda need these to be free programs if at all possible -.-

Pretty much I need first off to be specific the content filtering and website monitoring cause I wanna know where he's been and also to block as much as I can to prevent the majority of sites so there are less accidents.
