monitor clients

Hi everyone
We have just launched an ISP company and I would to monitor what particular subscribers are doing ie: if they are running p2p soft or just using web.
How could i do achieve this?

you're an ISP?? if so you need to invest in proper monitoring tools. I would suggest that at least a netflow / ipfix based monitor would be a start. you could start for free with ntop, but I'd urge you to look at other products like fluke's netflow products... a lot of this depends on what infrastructure you have though... maybe from my suggestions you have no point to obtain netfow from in the first place.

mmh... Thanks for the suggestion. Will work with what I've first, then migrate to high end tools. I intend to work with open source tools, if i can manage to get a a good combination, i might not need to invest on commercial tools.
