Modem - Driver Install Question.

I was able to find a Linux Driver for my modem on the internet and downloaded it. However, I am not sure, where or how I should install it in Linux. I use Mandrake 9.1 Installation instructions from BOTH the graphical GNOME interface as well as from the text prompt would be appreciated.
