Hey, man. I've been having the same trouble recently (got a Intel 536EP). KPPP worked fine with Mandrake 10, but it was totally messed up in FC2. Well, I did some searching through these forums and found the answer. I would post a link to that forum, but I just closed that tab on my browser and I don't think Mozilla has a "History" bar like IE (I'm not sure -- I'm still a
).
Anyway, I think if you were to run kppp from the konsole, you would probably get two big errors:
1) Something to the effect of: can't find device ppp0
2) Can't find /etc/ppp/resolve.conf
Well, after some google searching I found that the device error is not a problem. As long as you can go under the KPPP configure menu and click on the "Query Modem" and it detects your modem OK (it will say it's busy if you are connected through the other dialer), then you're fine. The other error is solved quite simply. Just copy your /etc/resolve.conf file into your /etc/ppp/ folder. That's it! KPPP works fine for me now.
If this doesn't work, let me know!
God bless!
