mod_virtual?

I want to use virtual hosting with Apache 1.3.26 and I cant seem to get it to work. Does the mod_virtual module need to be installed? Here is what my httpd.conf looks like so far with virtual hosting:

#NameVirtualHost *

#<VirtualHost *>
# DocumentRoot /home/httpd/html
# ServenName maindomain.com
#</VirtualHost>
#<VirtualHost *>
# DocumentRoot /home/httpd/html/vh1
# ServenName virtualdomain.com
#</VirtualHost>

Am I setting this up correctly? and for this, do I need the mod_virtual module?

Thanks

Thanks for the link, but for virtual hosting to work, do you need to have mod_virtual? I searched on modules.apache.org but I couldnt find the module.

It may be a case of the blind leading the crippled as I have never set it up myself. Sorry if I'm no help.

Here is what he installs on Gentoo:

apache
postfix
mysql
djbdns
courier-imap
pure-ftpd

Virtual Web mini-HOWTO
