mod-init-tools vs modutils

Which should I use for kernel 2.6.0? Which version of mod-init-tools is the "stable" version?

for kernel 2.6.0 you need module-init-tools. currently version 0.9.14 is stable. looks like the next stable version will be called version 3.0
