mkisofs error

I have a (legal) dvd-rip on my hd using dvd-backup, it is 6.7gb total, I try using mkisofs -dvd-video -o etc etc, it runs and finishes, it gives me
Total translation table size: 0
Total rockridge attributes bytes: 0
Total directory bytes: 4096
Path table size(bytes): 42
Done with: The File(s) Block(s) 3450198
Writing: UDF Pad end Start Block 3450490
Done with: UDF Pad end Block(s) 22
Max brk space used 5000
3450512 extents written (6739 Mb)

so it seems to work fine, but when I du -h the output file it claims tio be 4.0gb, it does not mount or read in dvd-players properly, I do have udf support and I have done this before (not sence reformat) any ideas?

I also do not need a very long howto step by step guide, I know my way around.
