Missing Pulseadio Configuration Files

Hello,

I noticed that, in my new LXDE install, Pulseaudio's ~/.config/pulse folder was missing two files. For some reason, Puleseaudio failed to generate both the daemon.conf file as well as the default.pa file. Notably, before I realized these files were never generated, I had already been listening to music, so everything in Pulse's newly created .config folder should have been in there by the time I had checked.

I wish to find out what may have gone astray with my setup and what to do, e.g., re-install some things, manually create files, etc. There is a need for me to add a few lines to my user's default.pa file, plus I need to change a value in my user's daemon.conf file. Please advise!

Thank you.

PulseAudio

that will show you how to do it yourself

Hi

that is normal for PA not to have stuff in your home config area

simply copy the system wide files from /etc/pulse

Thanks, aus9 & BW-userx!

I can't believe I forgot about that. It had been awhile, and I guess I figured since the folder is always self-generating (if I were to delete it or rename it) that all of the potentially needed files would be in there too.

I checked out those two websites, you posted here, and put them on my speed dial - good stuff!
