missing perl.h in Mandrake 9.1 distro

Can anyone help me figure out why perl.h is missing in Mandrake 9.1? Can I download it from somewhere? I have perl installed on the system, I am pretty sure it is perl5.8.

" I am pretty sure it is perl5.8."

I have Perl 5.8 installed on my SuSE 8.1 system. When i do:
rpm -ql perl | less
I find that perl.h is instaled in
/usr/lib/perl5/5.8.0/i586-linux-thread-multi/CORE/perl.h
and in fact that library exists.

So check your perl rpm to see if perl.h is in the Perl package and check the file location to see if the file is missing. You might only have to reinstall the perl rpm.
