missing libslp.so.1


while i am installing VLC meadia player in my Mandrake linux system, at last i found that "installation is incomplete libslp.so.1 file is missing. i tried by putting cds also...but no use. even i tried to get the file from internet ...for the i used google search...but no use....can any one help me?

try this --->
http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat....i586.rpm.html

if u see the provides section it provides ---> libslp.so.1

#rpm -ivh libopenslp1-1.0.11-5sls.i586.rpm

that should do , if u have met all the other dependencies......
