When i try to run Command and Conquer Generals from WINE i get an error message stating:

err:module:import_dll Module (file) MSVCIRT.dll (which is needed by f:/generals/game.dat) not found

obviously i need MSVCIRT.dll but i dont know where to get this and what to do with it when i do get it.

I'm pretty sure those DLLs go into either:

/usr/share/wine-c/windows/system

or

/usr/share/wine-c/windows/system32

Have you done a google search for the DLL or do you have a windows machine that you could grab it off of?

That looks like the defacto site for DLLs. Good link. It would be very usefull for me if the folks at wine released a version that works with glibc2.3

Have a prob with C&C generals too. it starts "generals.exe", and stops loading the game by telling me to
"Unload the debugger and try again"... lol...

Yes, it's the WineX 3.0 CVS version.

The most intresting part above is that "Emulate Evil attempt to exploit - thing".
I assume that it's why that "debugger-thing" pops out.
Any help would be apriciated, I'm a Noob on "LinuxGaming.."
