Miro asking for flash player but it is already installed in my system.

Hi I have installed Miro internet TV, version 3.0.2. but I can't play internet live news through it, every time it asks for adobe flash player, which is installed in my system (I can play youtube videos very well).

Every time it goes to adobe side, and ask me to choose what type of package I want to download (.rpm , yum or tar.gz), I choose but then nothing happens, is there any solution to this? Can't Miro recognize the installed adobe versions....?

Currently in Linux Miro doesn't support be it Adobe or Gnash. Their reason is unresolvable performance issues that cause the program to crash. This is very frustrating because a lot of the Features of Miro depend on Flash. So I recommend that work be done to solve this so that like other OS's Ubuntu can utilize all the Features of Miro.

The Adobe non-free flash player doesn't work with Miro, so we disabled all Firefox plugin support for the gtkmozembed browser that Miro uses.

We'd love to be able to support Flash sites in Miro on Linux, but it's not clear how to go about doing that. In the meantime, you'll have to view flash sites outside of Miro.

wonders why they don't simply embed Firefox or something like uzbl in Miro. Or copy how Boxee does it.

thank you for your reply, but what I think that those links are specially made for ubuntu users, myself using Fedora 13 and I didn't get much help as, the code and commands are typically for ubuntu user.
