minimal system to run ddd 3.3.1 on a 2.4.18 linux kernel

I want to install a minimal system to run ddd 3.3.1 on a 2.4.18 linux kernel.
I installed gdb and ddd successfully.
What other sw (x windows, ...) are required for ddd 3.3.1?
When I look at the rpm directory, I saw a lot of xfree rpms, which ones are
really required :
XFree86-100dpi-fonts-4.1.0-3.i386.rpm
XFree86-4.1.0-3.i386.rpm
XFree86-75dpi-fonts-4.1.0-3.i386.rpm
XFree86-ISO8859-15-100dpi-fonts-4.1.0-3.i386.rpm
XFree86-ISO8859-15-75dpi-fonts-4.1.0-3.i386.rpm
XFree86-jpfonts-2.1-24.noarch.rpm
XFree86-libs-4.1.0-3.i386.rpm
XFree86-tools-4.1.0-3.i386.rpm
XFree86-twm-4.1.0-3.i386.rpm
XFree86-xdm-4.1.0-3.i386.rpm
XFree86-xfs-4.1.0-3.i386.rpm

Do I need to install kde in order to run ddd?
