I want to use minicom to connect the serial port of my SB100. I succeed to use /dev/ttyS0 to connect into SB100 serial port. However, I can not type anything in my serial console. I google minicom but nothing is found to be useful. Any idea about minicom or another serial console S/W on Linux?
What is a SB100?
Did you configure minicom to match the serial port settings of the SB100?
Are you using the proper serial cable? i.e null modem vs straight
SB100 is my Sun Blade 100 workstation. Yes, I have matched minicom as the erial port config of my SB100 with 9600,8,N,1. I can connect into the SB100 serial console. But I can not type anything in SB100 serial console via minicom.
I am not sure whether it is null modem cable. But I suceeded to connect Winxp COM1 with SB100 ttyA serial port via the connection. And I can type anything I expect. So, I think I am using null modem cable now which is DB9FF-To-DB9FF.
