Hello,
I have two linux(debian lenny) machines connected by null modem serial cable. Machine A act as client, machine B act as server. I use minicom on A to connect to machine B.
minicom config on A:
Code:
A - Serial Device : /dev/ttyS0
B - Lockfile Location : /var/lock
C - Callin Program :
D - Callout Program :
E - Bps/Par/Bits : 38400 8N1
F - Hardware Flow Control : No
G - Software Flow Control : Yes
getty on B:
Code:
T0:23:respawn:/sbin/getty -L ttyS0 38400 vt102
If I login to box A using attached monitor and keyboard (device tty0) and issue "minicom -o" - it works OK - and I get functional text terminal of B.
But if I connect to A over ssh (device /dev/pts/0) from internet(client putty), and issue "minicom -o" - I get minicom status "Online" - but no text terminal of B - there is no login prompt.
Config is 100% the same in both cases.
Machines A and B are dual boot(centos + debian) and I tried some variants but results are exactly the same whatever linux os I use.
Could someone suggest solution for this ?
thanks
Vilius
