What do you mean my recent version of Ubuntu and what does minicom show for its version?

Are you selecting serial port setup, e bps/par/bits and then A or B to change?

serial port set up then select E (for Bps/Par)

and I get:
C: 9600
D: 38400
E: 115200

but no 57600 to select...

Pressing A or B will cycle up and down through every baud rate.
Code:
A: <next> L: None S: 5
B: <prev> M: Even T: 6
C: 9600 N: Odd U: 7
D: 38400 O: Mark V: 8
| E: 115200

Great! thank you! It was not so obvious since some of the baud rate were specified... but not this specific one.

Thanks,
David

Your welcome. BTW you can mark the thread as solved.

You can also save the configuration so minicom always starts at the desired baud rate
