midnight commander question

ok, i feel stupid asking, but i can't find in any of the documentation how to quickly change directories using the keyboard. i know that at the command prompt i can type 'cd /home/user', but i want to be able to type 'cd /home/u'<tab>, and have it autocomplete, like at the command line. i really can't use the prog without being able to do this...
