Midnight Commander Panel Usage

Hello again. I just had a question for you avid Midnight Commander users. I wanted to know if you could set one panel as something other than a list of files on startup of MC. For example, in the pulldown menu you can go to either Left, or Right, then select Info, and it will show you the file info of whatever file you have marked. Is there a way to get midnight commander to use one panel for file info on startup of mc, without me having to manually select it?

Thanks for reading.
