microsoft access migration to linux
hmmm. I'm trying to convert my office over to linux. The only problem that i am running into is making a microsoft access database viewable/editable in linux. What i have read is use mysql and take the myodbc connector to convert the database to mysql then just design webpage front ends????? Is this true, if so how do i actually go about doing this. Like what computers need what and such. thank you

there are several graphic user interfaces for mysql or postgresql available, some even free. u may make a google search. as i dont use any of them i cant recommend anything of that.

to transform your tables from access u can export them as csv files and import them to another db.

good luck, jens
