mesa libs fail to upgrade
Hi, I have the Xswat and oibaf PPAs set up on Linux Mint Petra. The following packages continue to reappear as needing installed:
Code:
libdpkg-perl libdrm-intel1 libdrm-nouveau2
libdrm-radeon1 libdrm2 libdrm2:i386 libegl1-mesa libegl1-mesa-drivers
libgbm1 libgl1-mesa-dri libgl1-mesa-glx libgl1-mesa-glx:i386
libglapi-mesa:i386 libglapi-mesa libgles2-mesa libopenvg1-mesa
xserver-xorg-video-ati xserver-xorg-video-intel xserver-xorg-video-radeon
Trying to run the upgrade in terminal after setting up packages it ends with
Code:
Processing triggers for libc-bin ...
Update manager says system is up to date but shortly thereafter it insists that these packages need updgraded again.
Thanks for any help

Sorry but everything seems quite normal. I don't understand what your problem is. One question is why you're using dist-upgrade rather than simply upgrade. I think your symptoms will disappear if you try apt-get upgrade. Another question is that did you give the command apt-get update before the upgrade command? Finally using the apt-get clean command might be helpful.
Finally, have you verified that the version numbers have not changed from one installation to the next?

Thankyou, yes, I always do apt-get update first and I've done simple upgrade as well as running this with the native update manager front end.
It appears upon closer examination that updates to these packages are released quite rapidly, even 2 to 3 times in one day. So thank you for the suggestion and now I feel little foolish, LOL.
I'll mark as solved for now and most likely change my update manager to notify less frequently.
