Unhappy Memory Lekage


I have a RH Linux 8.0 with 2.4.18 kernal, I am running apache on it, and it is the gateway for my network which does 'nat' ing using iptables. While the apache is running the ram gets filled up slowly leading the system to hang. can anyone please give me some solution.

how much memory and swap do you have?

this might not be the case but the slapper worm does that. it uses a buffer overflow in older versions of ssl. like i said i doubt this is your problem, but check google or macafee for slapper worm and the versions of ssl it effects just to rule out that being the issue.
