Memory for crash kernel !!!??

My Virtualbox installed REDHAT Enterprise 5
I don't know why ,open it prompt
"Memory for crash kernel (0x0 to 0x0) notwithin permissible rang
Red Hat nash version 5.1.19.6 starting
exec of init (/sbin/init)failed !!!ermission denied
Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!"
than stop here
Start rescue mode

Code:
chroot /mnt/sysimage
chroot: cannot run command '/bin/sh': Permission denied
rpm -qf /mnt/sysimage/sbin/init
file /mnt/sysimage/sbin/init is not owned by any package
rpm -qf /mnt/sysimage/boot/vmlinux-*
file /mnt/sysimage/boot//vmlinuz-2.6* is not owned by any package
install any package prompt "error"
use rpm -ivh /directory/package --root /mnt/sysimage/ --force

Hi anj,

let's split things up and see which errors we can resolve

Not sure what this is about

Ok it seems like your /sbin/init has the wrong permissions. It needs to be like this
Code:
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 37744 Nov 21 2006 /sbin/init
Do a
Code:
ls -l /mnt/sysimage/sbin/init
while in rescue mode

See the ouput of "ls -l /mnt/sysimage/bin/sh" gives.

To me it seems like all your permission are off the track. If it's like that i guess a reinstall of the Virtualbox might be easier.
