Memorex 16x-24x CD-RW

I had just bought the best cd-rw for my school project and the point was that i tried to format the cd-rw using InCD and it recognize it as a 537mb disc. SO, i want to know how can i use cdrecord or other utility to format my cd-rw. so i could use it as a big zip drive

Linux was 100000000000% better than Window XP!!!1

You can't. What you are referring to is called packet writing, i.e. using the cd-rw like a big floppy. Packet writing to cd-rw is not supported in the current linux kernel(2.4.22). It's supposed to be in the next kernel(2.6) from what I hear but 2.6 still has a ways to go and probably won't be ready for production use til this summer. The 2.4 kernels can read cd-rws that have been formatted for packet writing with programs like Direct-CD but can't write to them.
