Hello guys.

I'm coming to you as a last resort after all my tries and searches have failed.
i'm streaming videos to my playstation3 using mediatomb (which works like a charm)
the problem arrives when i'm trying to attach subtitles (hebrew) to the movie (divx, avi extention) using transcoding.
I've tried to set the configuration file in about every way that i've seen and it doesn't seem to work. the movie just plays without displaying the subtitles?

can anyone plz help?

Did you ever figure this out?

I'm trying to watch waltz with bashir with english subtitles from mediatomb on my ps3 and I don't want to encode the damn video!

Here was my solution:

I downloaded PS3 Media Server from google code.
It's java based, but if you've got mplayer, ffmpeg, and vlc (in linux anyways) then it will add subtitles to the file by transcoding.
