Media Streaming Server for desktops connected in LAN

Hi All,

I am trying to find out a free media server which should support fedora/redhat and allow me to stream saved media (audio/video/both)to the clients(desktops) connected on LAN just like youtube. Clients will view through their browser(IE/Chrome/Mozila etc.)over the LAN.

Please help.

What you're looking for is a media server. Media tomb is one.

There may be a hundred or so ways.

One that seems to be fairly cross platform is Plex. I can't vouch for it since I haven't set it up.
