I have a Linux server (Scientific 6.1) currently running Mediatomb, serving media files to my PS3 for watching on a television. Can anyone suggest a way to stream online services like Hulu (non-plus) and maybe Youtube to the PS3? It sounds like there's a program called PlayOn that would do this but it is Windows-only. I would be open to a program that would run on my existing Linux system, whether it is a plugin to Mediatomb or a different program. Hulu is the main service in which I am interested, but I am open to others too.

Google turned up Boxee, but I'm not clear on whether this can do streaming server stuff.

I might be tempted to install playon in xp then copy the whole install and registry to wine on the server.


It may be that vnc or such would be best.

boxee can certainly do streaming but i think boxee doesn't do hulu
because of some media cat fight thing

Tempting to try boxee if it does streaming, even if Hulu isn't included. I will probably give it a try. Appreciate the input above.
