alright, im new at linux os's, but im running ubuntu 7.04. i would like to be able to play music thats on my ipod and in aac/mp4 formats. i have been trying to do so for the last week with no prevail. i have posted many treads, and all the help i have received as been fairly, well useless (no offense) i am new so please try to bear with me. at this point i have a straight from the disk, fresh install of ubuntu. i have been told to get gstream, faad, faac, all sorts of stuff. i get it, but then what? Rhythmbox still wont play or add any music.
my question is would someone be so kind as too tell me exactly how, step by step, to be able to play my music, sync my ipod, and play music from my ipod. what player do i need, what plugins do i get, how do i use them, etc

Are the music files DRM'd ? (from the Apple music store)

take a look at http://hymn-project.org/ to see how you could Remove the DRM protection from those files.
