fedora by default don't support propreitary codecs like mp3, you need the codecs to get it playing. There are free codecs available for it

Follow this:

Add rpmfusion to yum repo:

Code:
rpm -ivh http://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/rpmfusion-free-release-stable.noarch.rpm
then,

Code:
rpm -ivh http://download1.rpmfusion.org/nonfree/fedora/rmpfusion-nonfree-release-stable.noarch.rpm
Install codec

Code:
yum -y install gstreamer-plugins-bad gstreamer-plugins-ugly xine-lib-extras-nonfree
Now you'll be able to play mp3
