Angry Mdk 9.2/KDE not saving audio levels

I usually use kmix to set my desired levels under Mandrake 9.2's KDE, but it never saves the levels, although I tell it to do so. Any ideas? btw, Mandrake 9.2 doesn't come with alsa, right?

Try adding this lines to you /etc/modules.conf file:

post-install sound-slot-0 /bin/aumix-minimal -f /etc/.aumixrc -L >/dev/null 2>&1 || :
pre-remove sound-slot-0 /bin/aumix-minimal -f /etc/.aumixrc -S >/dev/null 2>&1 || :

Mandrake comes with ALSA!
you have to select the alsa specific driver in "mandrake control center"
