mdadm problem at installation

Hi all,

I'm currently trying to install my PC first with Fedora 11 and then with Ubuntu 9.04.

MB : P5Q3
RAM: 4GB
HD : 4x 500G Western Digital

The problem that I encounter is that I cannot set up my raid array with mdadm at installation. I'm trying to create one raid 1 for boot and four raid 10 for root, var, usr and home directory. But when mdadm try to create/format the array, the system reboot at different steps. I was not able to pin point anything for now.

Tried with install/live CD/DVD, 32/64bits. The only thing that pinpoint me to mdadm is that on live CD all works ok until I try to use mdadm to create my arrays.

Any one can help with that?

Currently I'm testing my drives with Wester Digital testing tool. But I've changed my motherboard and the CPU.

Great thanks...

Here are some updates.

With only two partition on my four drive:

200MB for md0 raid 1 with four disk
Rest for md1 raid 10 with four disk

md0 ext3 boot partition
md1 LVM

LVM:

60G for /
60G for /usr
60G for /var
8G for swap
rest for /home

what happen now is that the two raid array are correctly created. Then the LVM but when it came to format the LVM partition it reboot for now only when it is formatting the /home. I think that there might be something with one of my drive but I cannot figure out what as I tested them with Western Digital testing tool and then write back all zero to the drive and all drive are tested ok.

Any one could help me on installing my PC.

Actually this behavior occure with Fedora 11 x86 64b, Ubuntu 9.04 i386 or x86 64b or Fedora 10 i386.

As I told earlier the only hardware that i have not change in the PC is the RAM, Hard drive and video card.

Thank a lot...

I need to install my system as soon as possible.
