md5 generator


hi
is there any utility to generate md5?

part of the coreutils package.
md5sum is used to print or check MD5 (128-bit) checksums.

Just change to the directory containing the file you want to check via command line and issue command:
Code:
md5sum filename
Substitute filename with the actual name of the file you want to check.
