Maya Segmentation Fault on SuSE 8.2
 

I've rung up support but they take so much time, it's not even fucking funny.
i've installed the rpms on Linux SuSE 8.2 with AWCOMMON (not server type) because I don't have a server license.

maya encountered a fatal error

Signal: 6 (Unknown Signal)
Segmentation fault

The splash screen seems to come up and everything, I've heard others have got it working with SuSE 8.2 so I don't think its incompatible with SuSE 8.2 (built for RH7.2) :S

I think it has to do with some RedHat specific libraries. Not certain what libs in particular, but you might find an answer here
