Which features and functions are you looking for? A quick look a the MapPoint page tells me that it ranges in features from server-side to PDA maps.

Linux Mapping software

I am looking for a product that allows me to view a map of the US and Canada where I can locate cities and streets, I like to enter in a address and find it on the map. I would also like to pass it a GPS location programmatically and have it to display that location on the map.

Thanks
