MandrivaLinux2006 - KMail: Filtering email; partial success

It seems like I have found the right place to filter out email, and it seems to do the job. However, there are times it moves email I want in trash, and other times, it doesn't.
Also, it doesn't seem to automatically load up when I access KMail. It's like I have to keep clicking "apply filter: (my personalized filter) to get the email filtered out.

I'd really like to be able to filter out my email, and have it applied at start up. Any possible ways?

Also, I'm having trouble with amazon.com, it removes that, even when I say "subject does not contain amazon.com, remove.

The filters in kmail are applied in order, so if you have a filter that deletes mail with "soap" in the subject line, and then one that moves mail with "From: contains amazon.com" to your "Amazon" directory, then mail from amazon.com, with "soap" in the subject line, will be deleted.

You have the option to move filter rules up (higher priority) and down (lower priority) in the filter list.

You may also need to check the box "If this filter matches, stop processing here".

Kmail's filters are excellent, but you need to be careful with the rules you apply, and the order you apply them in.
