Question Mandravia Limited Edition 2006

Hey, I Just booted up my new OS, Mandravia Limited Edition 2006. I am a noob to mandrake and after i installed it and booted it up it woudnt load the desktop. It is in a DOS like program and i have no idea what to do from there. Can anyone help?

The command startx should give you a graphical interface.
Then you'll need to learn to use the search feature (right at the top of the page) of LinuxQuestions - you'll easily find answers, and learn a whole lot too.
You'll also need to get some updates to your system - search LQ for "easy urpmi".
