Unhappy Mandrake upgrade

I,ve got mandrake 7.1 setup with win 2k on dual boot and everything is working fine. I,ve got a copy of mandrake 8 and would like to upgrade without having to do a complete installation and possibly losing my accounts set up. Is there a option from the command line or Gui i can use. I thought there could be a autorun feature which basically upgraded everything and left everything else alone.

As far as I know, there is a upgrade option during the install. Unless that has changed though, you may want to try to boot with the disk to find out and start the install to test but not change anything or you can check out mandrakes site and try to search it there to see what kind of options you have when installing.
