I have a Packard Bell M5 Series Laptop, the specs are as follows:

P4 3.06GHz Processor
512mb Ram
40gb Hard Drive
32mb Intel Extreme Graphics (not very extreme)
15.4" Widescreen

I've put Mandrake 10 on it, and I'm having several issues...

Totem keeps locking, so I'm trying to find another media player for mp3s, with it's own mp3 codecs etc. I'm trying xmms, but whenever I try to install the rpm, it keshplunks, saying it hasn't got dependancies installed, even though I tell it to install the dependancies. I have also installed mpg123 (is it?) But I cant find it anywhere, it hasn't appeared in any of my KDE menus.

I can't setup my screen for widescreen, I'm having to run 1024x768 which makes texts rather elongated. This is bareable though.

I have no Wireless networking, although I'm going to read some tutorials and see if anyone has a solution - I have a USB card, and a PCMCIA Card.


Anyone have any comments/ help on any of the above ?
