Mandrake 9.1 -java Help

I installed the new version of java (j2sdk 1.4) from sun in my system (/usr/java/), but when I issue the command java -version it appears a previous version installed with mandrake 9.1. I do not know what files to change or how uninstall the previous version.

Thank you
