Mandrake 9.1, glibc 2.3, and WINE

First off,
if this has already been asked i am VERY sorry.
It's just late at night and my isp isn't werking well and letting me connect for very long so I wanted to ask this quickly.

I'm wondering about where to download WINE that will run on my mandrake 9.1 system.
I searched on google.com and found stuff on it, one of which was WINE HQ. And there it told me that mandrake 9.1 was glibc-2.3 aand that I'd need to download and such and such location to get it..
But at the palce to download it they wanted money, so I todle them to push off.
So I went to google again... this time searching glibc 2.3 WINE.
And I got a lotta stuff and one was a post that was from this site that said that glibc-2.3 and WINE did not work together...
But it sounded like that was mainly focased to Red Hat users, but I'm still not sure.

So what I'm pretty much asking here is:
- Does anyone know where to download WINE for my mandrake 9.1
- And also will it work?

I'm sorry if this is just another one of those posts that you see all the time..
But I had to ask quick, so I'm VERY sorry once again

Thank you

You must have followed a link to Winex. The regular version of wine is free. I have just downloaded the latest release and it works very well on 9.1 - http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/ALP...e/development/
Choose the most recent release, download it, extract it and follow the install instructions.
