Mandrake 9.1 boots into shell prompt instead of KDE environment?
Hey guys, first post here. I just installed Mandrake 9.1 and I have the following problem. The system boots up fine but instead of booting into the KDE graphical environment, it just boots to a shell prompt asking for a login and password. I can login just fine and then run KDE by typing "kde" at the prompt, but how do I make it autostart into the KDE environment?
Thanks. |
go to /etc/inittab
find the line id:3:initdefault and change the 3 to a 4 save, exit, and restart |
I think it should be 5.

It is definitely 5........for a graphical boot
