Mandrake 9.1 and Windows Xp Pro
 

I had to reinstall Windows XP Pro on my PC. This, of course, overwrote the boot manager (lilo) which Mandrake installed. Is it possible to reinstall just the boot manager?

You can get into rescue mode, chroot to your linux partition and run lilo to reinstall lilo on the MBR.

Windoze always comes first! Don't you know that any M$ OS will try and eat and destroy any other on your system?

If you look closely at my post you will see the word "REINSTALL"...

Thanks for your help. The Mandrake rescue mode includes a selection for reinstalling the boot loader. I did that and am back to where I should be with a minimum of fuss.
