OK--
Everything works great when installing, until I get to the configure x step.
It recognizes my monitor, but when trying to configure the drivers for the onboard 8mb video, it fails every time.
Ive tried almost every option in XFree4, XFree3, and the only pertinent vendor options.( Trident and Savage )
The interesting thing is the difference in error messages within each group.. i.e.:
In XFree4, which it defaults to, give me this error:
(EE) No core pointer device specified.
(EE)Unable to determine the screen layout
In XFree3, I get this error:
Config error:/etc/x11/xf86Config.test:10
And if I select a vendor, I receive this error:
You must specify a keyboard in XF 86 Config

I have the drivers, on the CD that came with the packaging....
is there a way I can install those drivers through the setup screen?
If it helps any....Im installing this on a Microtel PC, that originally had Lindows 3.0 installed on it.
It has a K7 Triton Motherboard w/ a VIA KM266/KL266 chipset.
Here's a link to someone that had similar problems....
