Mandrake 9.0 Apache Help

I recently installed mandrake 9.0 for my server. There is one problem SSI. The SSI only works for file "index.shtml" but if i rename it index2.shtml it wont work and if i name any other shtml file index.shtml it will work. So can someone please direct me on how to make it so all .shtml files will work and not only index.shtml thank you
