Mandrake 8.1 Installation Problem

:newbie:
I installed ML 8.1 then rebooted my cpu but it said "operating system not found." The installation went fine no errors it just wouldn't start up. I then went back and tried to install it again but the same thing happened to me. I need help!! NOT TOO CONFUSING!

Ok, lets see. is it a dual boot setup or just mandy stand-alone setup? if it is dual boot do you use grub or lilo booter? You see in order to help we need some info.
