Mandrake 10 and XP dual boot issue - solved
Hey everyone,
Is there a way to deal with dual boot issues (Madrake 10 and XP Pro) instead of playing the old game of load XP cd to fix MBR only to have it screw up booting into linux?
Also, the os's are installed on separate HD's. XP on hda and Mandrake on hdb.
Lilo is installed in the first (sector or MBR?) of hda.
Thanks in advance for any assistance

well, you can install xp first and then mandrake.
Mandrake has a rescue function which will let you reinstall the linux boot loader.

Thanks for the info ppuru. I was apparently updating my post when you were replying to my post.
XP was already installed on a separate HD.

To close out this forum posting:
I finally just selected Grub Bootloader and that took care of the problem, lilo was the issue.
