Mandrake 10 and LUFS mounting system

Hi all
I am trying to mount a ftp system on my computer using lufs. I have installed lufs using rpm. I am getting the message as:
liblufs-ftpfs.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
unsupported file system: ftpfs
My command is
lufsmount -O ftpfs://usernameassword@servername ~/hgmp
Thanks for the suggestion.
