Question Maling List stops sending emails because my server is not configured efficiently

Hi All:

I apreciate if somebody could help me. We have a server at ev1servers, and we installed a mailing list manger to sen emails to over 40,000 subscribers, but each time send a newsletter it gets stuck after sending 500 emails, we were told that is has to do with performance issues, and that we must configure the server in order for it to run more eficiently...
But we do not know where to start or what to do... Or server runs on redhat linux 7.2, an I know we have send mail...

Thanks a lot for your help!
