making system recognize gtk


hi,

i have gtk installed but when i'm installing gaim 0.74 by source, after i run configure it tells me that gtk is not installed. how do i get around this?

It is probably looking for the gtk development package. Try installing gtk-dev or whatever your distribution calls it.
