making squidguard start whenever squid starts

Dear all,

My squid is able to service start itself each time the computer starts. However my squidguard does not have a service start capability. I need to make squidguard start each time squid starts, anyone knows how I can do that?

I know its something to do with modifying the squid init.d startup script but I have not idea how to do it.

Thanks all

Squidguard doesn't run as a daemon process.
It is called by squid directly when it is needed..

You should have two lines in squid.conf..
redirect_program /usr/local/bin/squidguard (put the correct location)
redirect_children 6 (or more if needed)

and make sure squidguard can be started by the user squid is running as..
