Hello!

Want to install linux an a scsi system with 5 harddrives (HD).
How can I make a patition going over 4 or 5 HD`s, as i would like to make an ftp-server with one big directory.

You could also set up a RAID-5 array and get some redundancy. http://www.linuxdoc.org/HOWTO/Software-RAID-HOWTO.html

hehe, best quote from a howto i've seen:

LVM-HOWTO:

3.2 Active and Inactive: kernel space and user space

As with all decent operating systems, Linux is divided in two parts: kernel space and user space. Userspace is sometimes called userland, which would also be a good name for a theme park, 'Userland'.
